Anybody know of someone with a targa-top FD? I'd REALLY like to see that...

As for that vert, I wonder if they re-enforced the bottom of the car so it doesn't fold in half...

I've seen a silver targa top FD once, I'll see if I can find pics, as far as the chassis being reinforced I believe they were. The FD convertible conversions that I know of were done by a company in California, I'll try and dig that up that information as well.

The name of the company at the time doing the convertible conversions was Straman. R. Straman Co.

I found another pic of the convertible:

its kinda strange. It's so/so... i think if they could get the top more flush when its fully top down it would look much better. The spoiler also helps though i dont like the blue spoiler. A hardtop convertible would be interesting, similar to the i think SLK Mercedes.

Hard top vert would be cool, but then you would lose your large hatch window. Meh, I think mazda sticking to a now drop top build was the best bet. They just look like large Miatas with the top down.

Gah! Aids Grenades! Of all the unholy things i have seen in my life. Why on earth would anyone want one of those! If you want one of those you should be blasted into space to die. And yes i'm very opinionated. Atrocity.
