Wtf!!

ok.... so I get off work and drivin home....I decide to turn my boost up to 14lbs to see what it felt like.... i hit it in 3rd til about 6 then shift to 4th and hit the clutch (to idle) at about 5.5. my car shuts the F*** off... i jump started it a couple times and it started and puttered. mind you i'm on the highway doin about 60-70 i drive it until i get off and shut it off. i check and see nothing wrong under the hood no loose lines or nothing. so I try to start her again from dead still. she hesitates to turn over i tap the gas and she turn but puffs out lots of black smoke. she won't stay crunk unless i'm on the gas. i try to drive home since i was only about 1/2 amile away from my house. she start the same way and cuts off when i try to pull off. she never starts again. what's wrong with my baby!!!!!!

What have you done to the car as far as modifications?? If you just turned the boost up withouth the supporting mods your just asking to blow the thing up.

Your just gonna blow that one up too if you just start bumping up the boost on the factory ecm and fuel system.

Wow....not meaning to sound rude but you have a LOT to learn...You can't just boost up your car without the proper ECU, fuel and tuned or that's the end of your motor. Sorry for your loss but I'm sure that this will teach you a lesson.

Borrow a piston compression tester and do a quick compression test first.

So from 8:27 p.m. EST to 8:59 p.m. EST, you have came to the conclusion that the motor is blown and you're just going to buy a new one without any investigation into what the problem could or could not be? WOW!!

why are yall tellin this guy "good luck, hope all goes well, learnt it the hard way." This guy obviously doesn't take pride or caution in his FD and is a very irresponsible person to just crank up boost on stock fuel and ecu. He is going to eventually wreck and we are gonna see yet another "FD part out" thread in the 3rd gen classifieds

Yellow, plz read the forum FAQs and Newbie section FIRST this time. You'll see that the stock fuel system and ECU only handles about 12 psi safetly. Any more, and well...you know the rest. There is TONS of info on how to properly mod your FD for the power levels you desire, so make sure you give it a good read.
