Wrecked 93, repair pics. It's DONE
Well I've been sending this link to the forum for about 2-3 months now. For those of you that are sick of it this will be the last post on it.
The car is complete and for the most part finished. I've driven it down the street a few miles, runs smooth, rides smooth and rattle free. When I started it up the actual mileage was only 43,500 vs. the 45,000 I was told (nice surprise). The front end needs to be aligned badly since the front suspension and engine cradle was off the car a few times during the repair.

Enjoy!

I bought the car April 24th this year. It was in the bodyshop (I didn't do the body and paint) until middle/late June. So it took me about 5-6 wks to put it all back together working on it occasionally weekends and evenings.

quick question how much was the repairs on the car. and how/where did you get a new framerail.. I found a black Fd with simular damage and needs a rail replaced for like 4500 and the engine and everything else is good. could you get me a price roughly so I can figure if its worth buying and fixing up. and selling it..

You are a god! Thats just incredible. I wish I had half the knowledge to be able to put it back together like that. It looks really, really good. You could tell me it was brand new and I would have no idea.
Why is it running without air filters? Isn't that really bad for the engine?

It won't be worth buying and fixing up if you don't get a discount on the new parts and do all the mechanical R+R yourself. You'll also probably need to locate used parts like the hood (it is $750 list price) and front bumper assy ($1200 list price).
I didn't do any of the body or paint work, I had a professional guy do it that does jobs on the side using tools at the shop. Frame and paint cost $2400, that doesn't include parts or mechanical R+R. You can tell from the pics that the car was completely disassembled up front, that was a lot of work!

The engine is running without air filters in the driveway. It is a concrete driveway so no dirt/dust there, the engine compartment was spotless, no dirt/dust there. I didn't drive it, just moved it in and out of the garage, no biggie at all, no real opportunity for anything to fall into the intake. Now if I decided to take a trip down the interstate that is a different story.
