Would an Rx8 6 speed transmission bolt into my 3rd gen?

I'll make it short and sweet:
The rx-8 tranny is way too weak, the gear ratios are completely wrong, and the power plant frame won't bolt up. I don't know, but you'd probably need a custom driveshaft too.

it won't mate up properly (easilly) and won't hold the power or have proper gearing. there is a 6-speed available for the FD out of Japan. i don't remember the company but use the search function. i do remember it being about $7k

Sounds like the transmission won't fit, but, how come no one has done anything with the renisis yet...like perhaps a single turbo renisis FD. I'd love to see that. I have seen few modified RX-8's though, so I guess it's coming along

I'm just trying to be helpful here and not a smartass:
Try searching, this RX-8 6-speed stuff and the turbo Renesis stuff have been beaten to death in several threads already.

I remember reading something about a former FD owner snapping a stock RX8 tranny just taking the car to the strip with stock power levels...

I tried searching for the tranny. Only found a couple threads, but with no answers.
