Yes, and you could also fit a Ferrari V-12 into it if you wanted. The problem is that it just doesn't line up right. Specifically, the engine mounts are in the wrong place. If you make some engine mount adapters then it should work, but it would be a major piece of work to do since they are in such a different place. Not to mention you would probably have to run a standalone for the engine to work.

But he didnt ask all that. He simply asked if it could fit, which it could. I could also fit my chevy malibu engine in my FC if I really wanted to. Would I do it? NO! Can it be done? Yes. It all comes down to having enough money and the resources to complete it.

I dont think they sell the mounts to drop the FC 13BT into an FD. But they do sell mounts to drop a 13B-REW into a FC.

Yeah, answer is "no", though really anything is possible with custom fabricated parts.

Or "yes", with a buttload of cash & time.

Why would you go to an older series engine? Unless you need those specific irons for something... otherwise, just build your engine with the FD irons and go from there.

This Is The Reason Why I Asked

I started this thread by asking if its a direct bolt on or not. The reason why i ask is because i have a 13bt Engine and Trans ecu and harness that was supose to go INTO a Toyota Starlet. Now that this project cant be done for personal reasons, i decided to ask "you all" if i can install this Engine into a 3rd Gen. Since i find people with this model blowing there Engines and Selling them for dirt CHEAP, i was thinking to take advantage on it buying one and install the motor that i have. And whats so wrong about this motor? Do they not make a good amount of power?
