removing the cat is the biggest bang for your buck mod outthere. of course you need the supporting mods, ie more fuel and ecu. so tell your buddy to get off the crack pipe.

Having said all that....it seems to me you dont know much about the car. If i were u i would spend some time readiong and searching on here before you do any further mods.

how much boost are u running? which ecu? what kind of fuel setup? which turbo? is it tuned?

If it is noise you are worried about, I'd recommend the resonated M/P from RX7store.net. I use it on my car, and absolutely LOVE the sound... makes the car MUCH quieter...

Doing mods that greatly affect air flow just to spite a friend..Sounds like a great plan?

Make sure you get the midpipe before you tune. with a fully opened exhaust, your engine will make a lot more power, and you'll want to make sure it's tuned appropriately for it.

Also, your stock fuel pump is probably operating at its maximum right now, you may want to get atleast a Walbro if not a Supra or Skyline pump before you get tuned as well.
