Is this the worst wing on an FD ever?
At least he took the Texas native plate off the front. A New England cop would have had a field day with him. -then again maybe that's what happened in the top picture; Wael and a cop are in the woods on the side of the road re-enacting a scene out of deliverance
Yep, it IS darn ugly!
I never liked high wings, I've never beleived that higher wings are really doing a better job..
He could put a flashing red light on top of it, contact the FAA, and make money off it by being a movable aviation indication unit.

Hi wings are for function...keep it in the laminar flow for max effect. Wael's car is kewl...welp, ok, except for that Nardi wheel. He had a pix of his CYM in front of Ryan Schlagheck's old VR....looked incredible!!!
Just met up with Wael over the weekend.
His car is in the shop getting a new engine.
The rear is not that big. it's the size of a "any ole" GT2 wing.
He has the new carbon fiber RE Amemiya rear diffuser on the car.
He will also install the ASP light kit(which I think is ugly)

FWIW, I got to drive his Honda S2000. My impression: A bit cramped interior but go-kart like handling. VTEC is impressive.

"That photo is deceptive...I had to get the shot in my narrow garage. Other than that, the car is far more neutral handling, far less understeer.

A REAR wing will cause MORE understeer not less (if its function is to add downforce). More downforce on the front of the car will help reduce understeer.
Oh well. It's a nice car other than the wing.

Increasing downforce on the rear tires, which in turn increases their traction relative to the front tires, INCREASES understeer.

That poor third gen. And those hideous whiskers hanging from the stock bumper.

It hurts to see this because yellow is so proper on RX-7s, and those "fashionable" additions clash with the normally brilliant chassis shape.
If he's so concerned about the handling of the car, why in the world did he throw Blitz 03's on there? What do those weigh? 26lbs each? I'm sure any benefit of the wing (which is still in debate) would be offset by the increased unsprung weight.
And why dig up old threads like this??
