WOOOOOOOOOOT!! back from the body shop
Wow... I couldn't take the shape the body was in, so I just spend god knows how much, along with a 6 week wait, but this car is now better than showroom shape! I'm so damn excited. i know this is worthless without pics, but i just got the car about 7pm, and had to work at 9pm tonight. I'll have some up in the morning by far the most amazing job!
Skipped any body modifications because the body shop was having a fit, so sorry to Ken at shine, that was an embarrassing rollercoaster. but with a new front lip, this car will be sooo stunning!
So finally, my 95 has risen from the beater stage, and onto collector car status. Stayed with a super clean silver, and the bodies entire fit and finish is beyond what i expected. The body shop chipped the windshield, so that's brand new as well. tossed in a set of kouki tails, which really accented the LED's I had already installed. also have a few goodies that i have yet to show, but i'll do so tomorrow! (sake bomb footrest, APR carbon mirrors, that kind of stuff)
Now I can get after the motor slowly, and its all gravy from here out.
BUUUUUUUTTTTTT... i'm really torn on selling at the moment. two jobs, and it's just getting overwhelming. so i guess i'm throwing that out there, as absolutely heart breaking as it is
mmmm... i wanna skip work and just drool over it :P
Pics to come in the morning!

rlee, they are fantastic... love them. the interior at night is breathtaking, and if you don't notice my brake lights, you shouldn't be on the road... they are blinding!

Niteshades... Just be careful with how many coats. The more , the darker. You can do too much obviously. Car will be for sale, with a feeler. Breaks me to sell it, but maybe someone can appreciate it until I get my life together to have it again

The paint looks nice, I've been off the forum for a few years. I'm not sure who started the trend of those hideous mirrors but they really don't look good. Go back to the body shop and have them paint your stock mirrors. Nothing personal. Other than that and the need for a new front lip it looks great. Oh and great job on the smoked turns.

i was torn on the mirrors, but at the time i needed them, i couldn't find stockers to have painted, and these were relatively inexpensive for the time being. they actually have way better visibility than stock, which is weird. just tough to get them into position. i will change out the front lip as well, but with how bad our roads are, i don't feel so bad about this one getting chewed up.

Wow. I love it. Put OEM side mirrors, a OEM front lip, and I think you have a pretty sweet SSM FD The kouki tails look great. God damn now I really really want to paint my car.
-So how much prep work went into this?
-Did they remove all of the moldings, lights, etc.?
-Paint engine bay?
-Paint door jambs?
-How much did it cost you?

i took down the ebay ad... just broke my heart to even think of selling it. it's nearly winter, and i'll just work through it! I have my eye out for a set of oem mirrors, will have the shop spray them real quick, also going to have a clear bra sprayed here shortly as well.
The insurance covered most of the paint/prep work, so unfortunately i don't have a total for ya. i don't think the engine bay got touched, but i'll fix that once i have the motor out when it needs a rebuild. i did have quite a bit out of pocket though, to get the body to 100 percent. oh well, looks amazing now! was in the shop for about 6 weeks, and they touched every panel. can't say enough about the body shop i used, the guy did a fantastic job!
