wont rev pass 2500rpms, sometimes

ok...i dont even know where to start searching, already tried fuel cut but dont think its that, anyhow here is the problem.

Sometimes, not all the time, car wont rev pass 2500 rpms, feels like it hit a brick wall, no resposne from throttle. seems like its flooding the engine, but if i shut if off it will stright right back up but sometimes it acts normal somtimes it cuts again. I had a rotary mechanic repair the TPS, check the sensors on the PFC, change the spark plug and such.. not even sure where to start, i see no loose wires around the PFC but will check again, dont see any sparks in the enine bay but will check again tonight. It ran fine on the dyno last week getting tune, but now its acting like ****...
any info would be appreciated.

Tony

Go to settings, then go check Rev/Idle. Your page should look like this. This are the default values.

Just make sure the first one didn't get changed to 3k or something weird like that.

i have it set much higher due to monster street port. 1400-1500 on the top 3, 1050-1150 on the bottom three, that is what it was set to on the dyno to get it to idel because of the large port, fuel, basically engine set up.. this car makes over 500rwhp.

check your TPS sensor yourself. don't trust mechanics. lol

the TPS could have been working fine when he checked it. i say, check it again.

i was having this same problem. sometimes the car ran fine, but sometimes it wouldnt rev past about 2000/2500 rpm. turned out the TPS pins were corroded. cleaned them and now it works fine.
