is it just me or does no one else notice that the light is bleeding/shining A LOT of light onto the bumper. i don't think the stocker does that or maybe the stocker just doesn't put out enough light to notice haha, i think it can be re-aimed for better output onto the road

I just re-adjusted to what GoRacer said, and man was he right! The lights looked a lot better on the road, and I light up everything. Signs can't hide from me, I'll tint them blue! Went by a few cops so far, and none of them even second looked me, but I feel like they should since it's bright as hell. About that bleeding to the bumper, I see it a little in person, but it's more aparrent on the photos. They look 10x better than stock housing with silverstars, and I'm 100% satisfied. You figure, even if I paidebay price for the lenses, I still got away with paying $590 shipped for the PLUG AND PLAY NO HASSLE HIDs. For some reason, I always find myself comparing them to cars with OEM hids, and I know that their lights are a lower kelvin, and it's not really fair to compare, but I do. Mine are brighter! HA! Take that BMW, MERCEDES, LEXUS, INFINITI, and all you other HID havers! I would take new pictures of the re-alignment, but my sister isn't here with her camera, and mine sucks.

Talking Realignment Photos

Here are some photos, and I couldn't wait for a better camera, so I used my phone.

Hey I was wondering who makes the HIDs and if they come with a warranty?

I have a paper I should fill out, but it's in japanese. It's from WISE SQUARE (aka WISE SPORTS), but I'm not sure makes it for them. I don't think I have a warranty. It's from Japan.

What is the light hitting the ground a couple inches from the front car coming from?

Is that just the headlights reflecting?

I've been pondering going HID but ever since I put the Slyvania superstars in I'm not sure I need any better lighting, what did you upgrade from and how does it compare?

It was LED Blue lights in the turn lamps, but I took them out since they didn't do anything. They were just blue and didn't light up crap. HAHA! I'm going to go with the LED turn bulbs that Goodfellasfd3s suggested.

I upgraded from Sylvania Silverstars and the HID is 1,000 times better HAHA!

i was in the gb too for the lenses (i have kaixen HID's which i havebt yet installed) and now that im seeing your beam pattern im second guessing using this kit. no offense, but the beam pattern is garbage. theres a big hole in the light where its shining down on your bumper, a really bright spot out in front and no light anywhere else (theres no use in shining a spotlight on the area right in front of your car, you want that light output dispersed over all of the road so you can see). and to illuminate any more of the road you have to severely blind the other drivers. ultimately id think one would be better off with halogens, as these simply are a very poor substitute for projectors. i wonder if there is any way to improve the beam/dispersion?? otherwise mine are going up for sale. -heath

id assume they would have the same downfalls, however i havent tried with the stockers yet (was waiting to get the wisesports in). i plugged my HID's into a spare H4 housing when i got them (just to see how they would do) and i was less than impressed. i also have a set of M3 BMW bixenon pojectors (not mounted yet), and the beam pattern, and light dispersion out of them in AMAZING!! no bright or dark spots... everything is absolutely even and illuminates the entire road with a razor sharp cutoff line. problem with the M3 projectors is you have to hack up some stock lights to mount the projectors, and its a bit of a pain to get them to fit within the space limitations of the pop-up housings (which im set on keeping), im still working on a method to get them to fit (those are going in my project FD eventually if i can squeeze them in).

Heath, you can't compare projector HIDs w/ non-projectors. Apples and oranges...

I like the beam pattern of my Euro (aka, E-Spec) H4 halogen headlamp assemblies with relays . . .

i know..... but the problematic beam pattern (i think) negates the benefits of using the higher powered HID blubs in an H4 lamp. basically it seems to cause more problems than it solves, as you cant put your extra light output far enough out there without seriously blinding oncoming traffic.

has anyone tried removing the metal screen in their lamps? i wonder if its possible to make some sort of cutoff so you can stop the light bleeding upwards so it doesnt blind traffic as you extend the "spotlight" further outward to illuminate more of the road. imagine there is a deer on the side of the road up ahead.... would the super-bright spotlight in front of you pick it up before its too late? im not sure (when adjusted to a safe angle) that they will do much more good than the stock halogens in a situation like that. and actually, you may be worse off as your eyes will have adjusted to higher light levels in your foreground, lessening your low light perception of the areas that are not illuminated. hopefully you understand what im trying to get at. -heath

Can't speak in regards to the HID's, but the housing are def. the same ones that you can buy on ebay for $90shipped. Here are a couple of pictures of mine that were purchased off of ebay. Just MAKE SURE you get the ones that have the mounting tabs.
