wiring slim fan

hi all,

just bought a pair of slim fans due to the stock ones being too large for my set up.

the slim fans have a blue (+ve) and black (-ve) wire. I noticed the stock ones have four from each.

Which ones do I tap into?

Thanks

You have 4 relays controlling the stock fans for high/low operation.

Not sure if your FD wiring is diff than USDM but wire colors coming off fans based on USDM FSM are

Black wires (Ground)
Blue/Orange to relay 3 switch
Yellow/White to relay 1 switch
Red/yellow (on fan one to relay 2 switch)
White (on fan two to relay 4 switch)

All 4 relays get power from Black/Yellow wire

I believe relays 1, 2, 4 control low speed and relay 3 is high speed.

orientation looking from front of car

Relay 2 (upper rear) Relay 3 ( lower rear)

Relay 1 (upper forward) Relay 4 ( lower forward)

Relays 1, 2, 4 get signal to relay coil on wires Violet/Purple and Green/Black respectively

Relay 3 gets signal to relay coil on wire Blue/Green

That should be all you need to wire that puppy up.
