Wiring Pinout For Auto Trans
I'm looking for the pinouts on the multiple connectors to the automatic transmission and their purpose. I am having an issue related to the fuel pump not 'priming' and the starter not engaging since swapping trannies. I have searched around trying to find the wiring diagrams but have been unsuccessful and without knowing the pinouts.
Going from the rear of the automatic tranny to the bellhousing and ignoring the speedo sensor as that one is obvious and interchangable between the two trannies...
3-pin connector
|- - -|
8-pin connector
|- - - -|
|- - - -|
10-pin connector (Large grey connector to tranny)
|O -|- -|- O|
|- - |__| - -|
4-pin connector (3 wires + 1 empty pin)
|- -|

[I believe this is just some sort of speed sensor, however it doesnt report to the speedometer...]
Thanks,
~Kris

Unfortunayely I do not have any manuals -- I was using ILuvMyRX7.com for awhile but it is down now and I dont even think they had wiring diagrams...
If you have the manual baddrx7, could you look up the specific connectors and what the pins are for? I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
~Kris

Another bump, hoping for a quick answer.. Currently these are the only things I have wired.
10-pin connector (Large grey connector to tranny)
|O -|- -|- O|
|- - |__| - -|
The two LARGE pins on each side are 'shorted' together, this should take care of the automatics, 'starter interlock'.
The two lower left pins in red are the reverse light lines going to the manuals reverse sensor.
The speedo sensor is the only other one I have wired and it was a direct plug in between the auto and manual.

Thank you Mahjik for posting the diagrams.
I think these are the connectors I am concerned with, highlighted in red.... however when I try to match them up to the actual connectors on the car, nothing matches.
Here are the connectors with wire colors... Anyone that knows which pins do what, could you please post them? There is also the connector IN the center console area that connected to the automatic shifter, I am unsure if anything in this needed to be shorted, etc... but I highlighted it as well in the diagram.

Too expensive otherwise it'd already be done...
ejmack, you said you ran the auto harness for quite some time before converting to the manual harness... could you maybe throw me some assist over AIM?

EJ, I tried jumpering those two larger wires in the 'inhibitor switch' connector and they didnt do anything.... although after looking at the diagrams it looks like that is all that would be needed...
I'm going to recheck all the fuses and see if I maybe missed one... I still dont understand why my fuel pump was not priming when the key was turned to ON however. :/

I just installed my 5-speed tranny this weekend and after jumpering four wires, the car runs and drives well, even with the auto harness and auto ECU. Of course it's not gonna stay this way...I've got a E6K waiting to go in, I just need my MAP sensor and that wonderful project will start.
Anyways all I needed to do to get mine running was to jumper the two large wires on the large gray connector mentioned above, as well as jumper the wires going to pins 1 & 7. IIRC this was the middle and right-most wires when looking at the pins of the connector. The car started right up and the only thing indicating a problem with the stock ECUs are a flashing Hold light, I didn't even get a CEL. Obviously if you have a manual ECU then something else could be missing there, but the above is how I got the auto ECU & wiring to work with the 5-speed. This way I could at least putt the car around and make sure that the swap went well before throwing the Haltech in the mix.

Okay, looking at the inhibitor switch connections and the diagram of it in the lower left-hand corner of the picture... Imagine the pins as if you were looking at the connector on the chassis harness side, not the tranny side.
|1 2 |3| 4 5|
|6 | 7 8 | 9 |
1. Brown / White Stripe (Purpose: LOW signal)
2. Yellow / Green Stripe (Purpose: DRIVE signal
3. Red / Blue Stripe (Purpose: PARK signal)
4. Brown / Black Stripe (Purpose: REVERSE signal -- reverse lights)
5. Yellow / Blue Stripe (Purpose: INPUT for PRNDSL select)
6. Red / Yellow Stripe (Purpose: Inhibitor switch FROM ignition)
7. Light Green / White Stripe (Purpose: NUETRAL signal)
8. Blue / Red Stripe (Purpose: SECOND signal)
9. Blue / Yellow Stripe (Purpose: Inhibitor switch TO starter)
So I WANT to jumper 6 and 9 together... Mazpower, which of these pins did you say you crossed besides 6 and 9 (The big ones)?
All the fuses are fine, I may need to test some relays as well but I'm not sure how to test them. I'm also going to change the ECU out just to be sure something isnt wrong with it... it seems something is funky to cause the fuel pump to NOT prime when the ignition is turned to ON before starting...
Thanks,
~Kris

According to your wire listing...I jumped both 6 & 9 together and 3 & 5 together. I have done a couple trans conversions, both in Hondas...'93 Accord and '98 Civic. Both required that you "fool" the car into thinking its in Park to allow the key to be removed. So I assumed that the wire needed to be jumpered...which is why I shorted the Park signal with the PRNDL source wire.

Okay that makes sense... I actually jumpered that one before talking to ejmack but then changed to 6 and 9, tomorrow I will jumper both sets and change ECU's to see if it makes a differance..
Thanks a bunch!
