Wiring lights

Alright, so still not 100% with this whole search feature and figured, possibly just asking is the best idea. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I need help with wiring, I need to wire my FD with day time running lights, aswell with side rear and side front lights(turn on when taillights are turned on). Pardon me for improper terms, but my light **** has 3 positions:
1) no lights---OFF
2) Small front lights(wanting that to become day time running)
3) Full out popup lights

I was wondering if anyone knew the easiest way to make stage 2 of the lights, become automatic to turn on when the car does. Wiring, soldering, and what not is not difficult for me, its a matter of picking the easiest route and proper wires. Hoping some of you have done this maybe?

For side lights, I mean the amber reflector in the front infront of the wheel, on front bumper(side) and the rear reflector(side of body). To wire those into the taillights/headlights. Once I figure out which wire does what, a few double checks with a multimeter and away I go. Anyone have any advice?
