wiring harness...help!

Well, putting my FD back together...and while moving the wiring harness to install the fuel rail broke a wire right at the connector.

FOCK!

Anyway, I beleive the wire is to the knock sensor. It is a one wire clip...the one from the large harness that broke.

I cannot insert another wire into the clip cause it broke right at the connector. Can I just terminate the wire by cuttin the other clip and butt connecting them or using male/female crimp connector for future separation?

thanks
