Which wire? FD harness question
hey guys
So i rubbed through the harness a bit,
the main one that was damage was a thick 6-8 guage thick grey wire. it contains 3 green wires, green/white green/red green/yellow wrapped inside. its kind of hard to trace without really digging around.
its located in my passenger fender well going toward the front of the car, (JDM model)
im just wondering what this wire is, maybe it can point me in the right direction of my current no start issues.

On the U.S. FD, can't see right-side fender well wiring affecting engine operation... seems to be only airbag system ("D" sensors) and horn circuitry.
BTW the grey sheathing over the wires is protection for the harness and does not carry a gauge number... only the actual wires have "gauges." Do these wires still connect, or are they actually broken?

Hm, maybe I'm looking at the wrong side of the car for those wires. Looking forward, on which side of the car is the fender well you mentioned? Is this a left-hand or right-hand drive FD? There are shielded wire runs to the crankshaft angle sensors, but I think that wire run is on the left side of the car. Also, when you write "in the fender well" do you mean on the tire side, or in the engine compartment?

as stated, jdm model
so US driver side fender well, or while looking at the front of the car, the right side. the side closest to the throttle body.
to add: i would assume the wires would be roughly in the same locatation regardless of us or jdm, as the cas/battery/harness in the engine is all close to the same places if not the exact same.
found this too,

OK, I was looking at the U.S. passenger side, sorry. Unfortunately the crankshaft angle detector run colors do not match yours. There is a close match to the shielded run from Igniter to ignition coils, however. I see "LG/W," "LG/R," and "LG/B" wires, running inside a shield in the Front harness, going from the Igniter switching transistor collectors through connector X-12 to the Emission harness, then on the same color wires, still shielded, through connector B-14 to the Ignition harness, where the colors change, and then to the primaries of the ignition coils.
Note that this is not a perfect match... the light green/black wire might correspond to your "green/white" wire but cannot confirm that. I am attaching images from my 1994 FWM page Z-28 in the hope they may be of some use.
