windshield washer ooze

Here's an obscure one for you. I noticed several times after coming back from a drive that my hood would have trails of windshield washer dribbling down it. Seems like what's happening is that when I stamp on the brakes, especially after driving hard, washer fluid oozes (or even spurts) out of the nipples on the top of the hood. With all this oozing, a full tank of washer fluid can empty in a couple of months, even if I don't turn on the washers myself. Since the brake lines are separate from the washer lines I can't imagine why one should affect the other??

Yeah WTF, that's what I said to myself. Only thing I can think of is that when I'm stopping, the water slooshes from the back of the car --it's a Canadian spec car so the washer tank is in the trunk-- and comes out the hoses, sorta like a big tidal wave of washer fluid. I don't know. It's only irritating, and I have to make sure I wipe the hood after parking the car to stop it from eventually eating into the paint, but I'd sure like to sort it out.

my friends eclipse does the same thing and his washer tank is also located in the trunk. Im going to have to say that it something to do with where the tank is located.
