Will switching from non-seq to seq quiet my FD

When I converted to to non-seq and my FD was considerably louder. At the same time I had a streetport and hi-flo cat put on. I've heard that non-seq makes your car louder (especially with a midpipe)..below 4500 rpms..I would actually like a quieter FD - even the with the hi-flo cat it can still be annoyingly loud ....
