Will It Start on the Factory ECU?

I am getting closer to having my engine ready to re-install but have a question on how to proceed once it's in. Bought my car last fall with a bad engine. It would run but it not very well. When I got it the car had a Microtech ECU. Before the previous owner put that in it was running a PowerFC.

So here's my question. I am going back to the PowerFC. Since the Microtech takes it's own harness I rebuilt a stock harness and did a point to point check. Everything there is good. I don't think anything was done to the other harnesses that plug into the ECU but don't want to find out by sacrificing my PowerFC. Can I test everything using the stock ECU? The car is presently running non-sequentials with the rat's nest removed. My rebuilt harness doesn't have any of the solenoid connectors so I can't use resistors to fool the stock ECU.

Will the engine start with the stock ECU without the resistors? I don't plan on driving or boosting, mainly just make sure it will run and idle before I put the PowerFC in.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me,

Jeff

Yes, you can start the car on the stock ECU. It will throw a bunch of codes but that does not matter as you are just testing if the harness is good.
