will removing oil/coolant gauges make anything else not work?

my oil pressure and coolant gauges in my cluster are dead. i have after market ones hooked up. im about to pull my cluster to fix my dead odometer issue. i figured since i was pulling the cluster out anyway, its a good time to replace my dead gauges with working ones. (aftermarket). would just removing the gauges change the way anything else works? dont know if it would disrupt a power or ground circuit.

ive searched threads where people replaced gauges with aftermarket, i just didnt see any info on this. thanks!

Search for threads by half-spec and Mr. Rick.

It's not as easy as just pulling the factory gauge out and dropping in an aftermarket one. Still do-able. Just don't expect it to be super simple.

Im aware that it wont just be a drop in swap. Just wanna know if removing the 2 factory gauges, if it will disrupt any other circuits.

I've removed the OEM coolant gauge and everything else still works OK. I doubt you could cause a problem unless you damaged the flexible circuit board on the back of the cluster.
