Will the HELP! bypass caps work?

for the AST removal? They say they are meant for unused water pump, engine, underhood uses but they seem awfully flimsy.

Please let me know - thanks!

They may have changed the design, but I used some 3/8" ones when I first removed my AST. They worked fine for a while, but both of them popped after a few months. It's ugly, but I think a short section of hose with a bolt in the end of it and hose clamps on both sides is a much more robust way to plug the lines. I am sure there is something better out there, but the HELP! caps just aren't beefy enough.

Thanks Max! That's what I figured. I may have to search for something better. The bolt/rig came to mind as I searched four stores for the 1/2" caps and finally found 'em. You said 3/8's inch? Seems like the lower radiator and coolant neck are 1/2". Tried 3/8's on the upper and it wasn't going to work...
