My advice build an fd to race and mod, and a pristine stock one to keep and appreciate.
yeah, thats what they want for them but thats not what they might get... Plus those are for 94's and 95's and duh, pristine stock one will appreciate!

BTW: You would be suprised at how many are selling for so cheap!

Skunks, Maybe I've just not looked much at the low end. I'll take a look. Even more proof to my argument for not modding the really nice cars. If you can buy and FD that cheap, assuming the body is fairly straight. Would make a good car to mod out.

The RX-8 does not compete directly with the FD, but maybe a few FD owners will trade their cars in for a new RX-8 (my guess is that quite a few RX-8 buyers will be former rotary owners). That'll lead to an increase in supply and could lower the value of the 7. Who knows.

I concur with Skunks, I think mods are actually not a good idea for the Rx-7, you are already driving one of the fastest, most beautiful car ever built. The radiator and oil cooler and exhaust and maybe an intake filter but everything else I think is overkill. The money spent on mods to go just a little faster is similar to the the differential in the quality of home stereos, you have to spend so much more for so much less after awhile. The Rx-8 will increase the demand for Rx-7s because it will be like a new book about something, people will be intrigued and maybe would like to read the old book to find out the first part of the story. Felix Wankel started something revolutionary forty five years ago and Mazda is trying to keep the revolution going.
