Will FC differential fit a 3rd gen?

Curious if a FC open differntial will bolt up to a FD? and if the stock VSLD will bolt up to a FC? Any information.

Thanks

the FD has a Torsen Differential...and No they aren't interchangable--different mounting points!...If you need more info on this do a search!

Yes they ARE... You need to take the guts out of the FC differential and put them in the FD pumpkin... If you do a search, you'll see where it's been done with some noted success... Just remember to get the S4 clutch type differential rather than the shitty S5 viscous type...

o. hah, I read along time ago that FDs had Viscious lsds, so I've been going by that. I just wanted to get a open diff or somthing I could have welded, since I heard you couldnt weld Viscious lsds. Idk anything about Torsens? could you weld them?

Oh I thought he was ditching the torsen for a TII LSD... Ok welded that makes sense... You can weld the torsen IIRC...
