yes, it should go in w/o a hitch about thirthy minutes and you are set to go. This is the most common type of ECU used in rx7's.

well I been reading that the 96+ are like 16 bits instead of 8 bits

No, it won't.

Only a '93 - '95 U.S. spec PowerFC will work on U.S. FDs.
