Will Apexi intake work w/Greddy FMIC?

I will be picking up a Greddy 2-Row FMIC this spring and trying to decide on an intake to use. I really don't care for the Greddy intake much and would prefer to use the Apexi, but I have heard they don't work together? Anyone using this combo? If so, what's involved with making them work together? Thanks much!

Bryan

I did not have to modify the actual Apexi intakes, I did however do some customization on the piping to get the apexi intakes to "sit" in acceptable spots.

1) top intake, I cut the stock intake hose (plastic) just behind the flexiable portion of it then attached one of the apexi intakes directly which moved the intake "back" (basically shortened it by about 6 - 8").

2) the bottom intake I used a 2 1/2" 180 degree elbow from home depot (which I later painted black and was not even noticable). One end of the elbow went over
the turbo intake, the other directly to the second apexi intake.

You can see both (unpainted 180" elbow and shortened stock intake hose) in this picture here along with vented BOV.

Apparently Jason Baughman of the Rx7 Store sells the Apex Intakes with modifications to work with the Greddy FMICs. At least that's what he tells me ?

I wonder what the modifications all involve? Any ideas? The site Mahjik listed is great for install steps and pics but doesnt really say what he had to do to get it to work with the Greddy FMIC.

Huh?

I posted nocab72's message on exactly what he did to adjust the Apexi intake.
