Question Will the 93 R1 front lip fit on the 99spec front end?

I have a 93 R1 and am interested in buying the 99spec front bumper, lights, etc.

In the interest of saving money, I'd like to use the front lip from my 93 by not purchasing the 99spec front lip spoiler if it will fit correctly. Otherwise, of course, I will buy that too. I figure since my 93 is in new condition, why not use it if it's the same?

Does anyone know if the lips are the same or if the 93 can be installed without any modification?

thanks

The lips are not the same. You might be able to make it fit, however I would suggest just getting/using the '99 lip with the '99 bumper.

Sell your 93 R1 lip and buy the correct 99 spec lip. Even it does fit, it'll look ridiculous.

Thanks for the feedback guys...didn't realize the 99 & 93 lips might look different from each other. Glad I asked

Yeah, the lip is like the cheapest part of the whole '99 front end conversion. Get it.

Good thing is R1 lips are in demand - you can easily sell it for $80 or so, and I think the '99 lips are only $100ish, so it would be a pretty small outlay.

They aren't. They're about $180 plus shipping. Mine came out to be around $210 shipped to my door from rx7.com.
