Will a 16lbs pressure cap be OK on a alloy AST

Will a 16lbs pressure cap be ok on a alloy AST, all hoses are new and good, i think the standard cap is rated at 12lbs, Thanks

If everything, including the hoses, are new and in good shape, 16 psi will be OK. The 13-psi cap was introduced in a recall due to coolant leaks causing fires (antifreeze is flammable). The turbo coolant hoses can burst (they are subject to the worst heat of all the hoses) and are a common leak point. This leaking coolant can puddle near the turbos and ignite.

Learn something new everyday, I had no idea coolant was flammable. Is that after all the water boils off?
