Wierd brakes

I'm having an issue where the brake fluid container goes down ever few month to the point where the dash light comes on. I filled it up again but recently the brake petal goes almost to the end before activating brakes.

If I pump it once then hit it again the second time the ped will activate the breaks where it used to. If I wait more than few seconds it will activate when the pedals fulling down again.

I'm thinking there a hole somewhere cause I'm not seeing any fluid leaks.

Any ideas or thoughts appreciated.

Seb

check your clutch line. That is known to leak and be a site for your symptoms. There are ss replacement clutch lines.

Also, obviously, check your brake pads and brake lines.

There's a leak somewhere - you just haven't found it.

Is yours a std shift? Does the clutch appear to work OK? If it does, the problem is in the brake system. I would suspect a caliper problem since a leak there would be harder to detect than in other locations. Also, a bad caliper can suck in air when you let off the brakes and result in a low pedal as you are seeing.

A leaky master cylinder can also suck in air, and leak beneath the carpets where you wouldn't see it.
