WideBody Options & Pictures

I'd like to assemble all of the WideBody versions there are out there including custom work (custom rear flares etc.)

Could those with WideBody cars post pictures and info of their setup please? Or if you have pics and info of a setup that would do the same.

Thanks to all

Over half of the pics in that thread are long gone.

Unfortunately the majority of pictures and links in that thread are dead since it is 10 years old.

Thanks for your help, I'm hoping to assemble an updated and complete thread of widebody options.

Feed. Molded. No rivets. Thought it came out pretty clean.

I think that the best rear flares I've ever seen are the carbon AtomixRex/Minotaur Racing over fenders, as pictured on Sicknote's 20B track car... they actually replicate the shape of the car:

https://www.rx7club.com/20b-forum-95...1025153/page4/

They are SUPER wide though, 60mm each side. The Ronin rears are a close second:

FD Wide Body Full Kit

The best fronts are the Shine 20mm fenders, because.... they replicate the the original shape of the car:

FD3S RX-7 Misc. Items | Shine Auto Project

The only thing is, at 20mm, they aren't a great match for a 60mm wide rear. Again, the Ronin's front would be good except the fell into the pitfall that almost all RX7 wide body's do, they changed something—in this case the vent behind the front wheel.

FD Wide Front Fenders

IMO, FEED, Burnout, RE, and any others i've seen all fall into that trap of messing with the lines, adding creases, changing vents, adding extra cut-outs, etc., etc.

Shine 20mm front fenders (per ptrhahn's recommendation) with Pettit rear flares.

I don't know what it was about the Pettit flares for me. When I saw them on a car a number of years ago, had to have them. Thought I would mold them in but have grown to like the bolted on look. Swapped out my stainless bolts recently for blacked out ones to make it all blend in better.

Of course, you can see it in person if it is ever ready to leave Kilo's shop.

This is the best combination in my opinion. The front fenders dont have that goofy flat edge, they are wide but maintain the factory intended curves. The rear fenders, being that they are not molded, demonstrate that this widebody was a necessity and deliberate, to get some massive rubber on this beast; implying that there must be way to much horsepower for anything less. Overall, this car looks like a factory FD, with larger *********.

Generally speaking, the more you stray from the original lines of this car, the worse it is IMO. It's all but perfect as it is.

I'd love do do a widebody with those Shine fronts, and Minotaur rears. The latter would be even more awesome if they were integrated with carbon doors so that the "widening" could start mid-door as it does in the OEM lines, so there would be no transition after the door.

It's not the carbon/paint though, it'd be replacing three sets of high end wheels. Would cost more than the car.

I think the width and shape of the front and rear fender flares is perfect on this one and better than any of the other kits in this thread (in my opinion).

Do you have any more pics of this one? Interested to see the rear bumper. I dont like the front end or sideskirts sadly

Are just the front fenders and bumper wider? Is the rear as well? Hard to tell from the one pic, plus the stock body lines are maintained so I cant tell, Im sure in person it's obvious.

David the words that come to mind are classy, bold, elegant, unique, clean, aggressive, exotic! There are FDs, and then there's your supercar.

The fenders are probably the best part of the kit...I dont really care for the front or rear myself but I had a great deal on the full kit so it was hard to pass up.

What lip is that on top of the rear taillights? I like the looks of it.
