wideband
I was wondering how accurate the "in car" wideband meters are compared to the ones used on a dyno.
Also with a wideband like the innovative wideband sold at rx7store, what type of readings are you given during or after a run. Does it have a tach input so it gives you the rpm reading along with a a/f reading? I understand you can upload the data to a pc, and does this give you a graph of a/f vs rpm? I have never used one or seen one before so I was just wondering how it works when using it for tuning. Thanks.

I'm a CF and poop smith
go with motec, although the sensors only last for about 500 hours on pump gas and 50 hours on race gas.
the auto meter type using hte stock sensor is total crap

You don't need to spend thousands on a Motec, that's ridiculous.
Some users have experienced problems with that Innovate wideband for use with turbocharged rotaries (although they are smart as hell with good customer service). They'll figure them out eventually but for now, I would stick with the tried and true FJO or TechEdge widebands. They are very accurate when compared to the expensive Motec or other wideband setup that a dyno shop would use.
Spend some time researching the forum and the company websites, you will get all your questions answered.

How about the PLX Devices Wideband. I am thinking I am going to get that one. $329, used Bosch sensor, has display, sensor included, has output for datalogging with datalogit.

My mechanic has the PLX wide band and is puting the display into a 2-1/16 gage pod on the A piller . The sensor is in but the unit is not wired yet, may be done this week end .

Let me know, also where did you install the sensor. From what I have heard some people are having problems with the Bosch sensor and the LM-1 saying the sensor is overheating.

I'm running the tech edge Wide band. I had a friend of mine street tune his FD with his and then put it on a dyno. Same A/F's as the tech edge and put out 460+ rwhp
