Wow man, I have a M3 with over 200k on it and still drives like a dream and pulls hard (has a few bolt ons). It is a great daily driver, starts, drives, and wont blow a apex seal if you look at it wrong. Its just like any other reliable car just do you maintance and you are all good. I wouldn't think the FD would make it any were near the miles the M3 has seeen. Germany makes a good reliable car but they cost a little more to maintane.

I do love my FD and M3, but if you want fast go get a Sport Bike. They cost less and will beat the pants of all most any car you come across. Thats also why I have a R1, But I am only 24 so I may be just some dumb kid.

I wasn't comparing an FD to a BMW for reliability. I was talking about what a piece of junk BMW and virtually every other Euro manufacturer is for build quality in the last 5 years. I'm really glad you have 200,000 miles on your car. It doesn't appear to have helped the masses of other BMW owners reporting so many problems to consumer reports. The Audi / Porsche dealer I bought my previous A6 from had brochures at the service counter telling people their brakes are supposed to squeel because they work so hard. heh. A friend of mine in the service department of a local Mercedes dealer says one of the most common complaints he hears is, "My Lexus never did that." to which he has to respond, "This isn't a Lexus."

Lexus is a good car so is acura but they're just rebaged camerys and civics. Also I dont think it is the cars, people making those complants think there made to last for ever and take all the abuse you thow at it. Or the tech are to damn lazy to recommand replacing parts and just resurfacing them. I have a friend with a S4 and he beats the hell out of it and its still on the road and preforms fine. Mostly becouse he does his maintnace.

Well along those lines Porsche and Audi are just VW's and Mercedes is just a new K car. It's a pretty weak attempt to try and blame the horrid euro quality on lazy repair techs and bad customers. Get a grip. Just admit that Lexus, Acura, Toyota and Honda are far better built cars than anything out of Germany. Was the "but they're just rebaged camerys and civics." supposed to be an insult btw?

Getting stuck with with a 20k increase in sticker price from a toyota to a lexus is kinda getting bent over. I never liked Mercedes so you can bash them all you want there own goverment is giving up on them and going with BMW so have at it.

I have a grip I will pick a M car over any genaric car toyota or honda come out with becouse the jap cars have no power or style with there price tag. Audi at least makes cars that can throw you back a little. Just my opinion and so is yours you have no facts to back up what you are saying.

I have no clue what porsche is doing, I like there build quality and they are brutal cars, but the suvs are just odd. Very fast but odd. Should just stick to making sports cars.

Also have you gone to see Scott at S&S latly?
