Why does VR look pink in most pictures?

Is it just these peoples cameras or something. It seems like many of the pictures I see of Vintage Red FDs, they have a slight pinkish hue to them. Is this a color that fades easily? Are there really a lot of these faded 'pink' RX7s around?

considering they are all around ten years old they probably have a bit of fade.

but vr is not that rich of a red anyway. in bright light it looks a bit pink. i must say it looks great at night but thats about it.

gotta love laser red!

My CYM paint looks orange, yellow, and bright yellow, depending on the sunlight.

I've never seen a VR car look pink in person. It's probably a combination of the camera and your monitor.

My ten year old VR looks awesome. Like new.

But then again I ALWAYS use a tyvek reflective car cover whenever its parked for more than a few minutes outside, don't drive it during the summer, and garage it.

And, I live in TUCSON, skin cancer captial of North Amerika.

I never thought it looked pink.
But VR is definitely notorious for fading.

Just take a look at Ron's avatar. Not even CLOSE to pink! If I remember correctly, his camera has serious "issues" with red colors. In my experience, many digicams have problems with certain colors, especially red. Probably because it's spectrum is most easily corrupted by thermal noise.

My VR's fairly low mileage, and is a pretty dark shade of red... Well the paint on the main body is, anyway. The mirrors and rear wing are just barely starting to fade to pink though.

Mine looks a little pink because of the sky. It looks really really red when I polish it.

In certain light, my VR can look pink. It's ver faded, but I had my bumper re-painted and it looks very red.

I got some pink action going on. Looks horrible under light. Looks really nice in the sun. Has alot of oxidation on the hood.

The color has alot of magenta in it.

Its better than that warm red they used to make 2nd gens in that looked orange, but still not a nice pure Ferrari-like red.
