I like the way it looks, and drives. Most cars on the streets today do nothing for me in the look dept but I dont think I'll ever get bored of the style of an fd. I have knowledge of v8s etc but I have learnt a shitload about roterys and turbo systems since I've owned this car. To me its sort of a hobby like with any car enthusiest, learning is all part of it, as well as doing the work, which for me makes a differance when I drive it. I get a sense of "ownership" of the car. As far as reliabilty expense etc maybe its the price I pay for something unique and not as commonplace, mind you I have two buddys building mustangs right now one in particular has spent almost enough to buy a house, he has had problem after problem, his stand alone computer $3500 mine $1000. Everytime I think my car is expensive I just talk to these guys. And at the end of the day I know which car I'd rather have hands down. Nothing bad about mustangs just a comparison as far as modification costs that I've seen. Bottom line for me I think its a really cool car... and I know I'm the only one in my nieghborhood (and probably the next nieghborhood etc) that has one

The other day while driving I saw a really nice C5vett and then a minute later I saw another really nice one, and then 2 miles letter I saw another one a convertable and then I saw 2 more in the Mall parking lot. This made me kind of lose interest in them never mind that all of them where owned by 50+ year old men in a mid life crisis. I realized then how nice is to have a car no one knows what it is except real car enthusists. I'm glad I started this thread I think I'm starting to remeber why I bought this car, and why I "had" to build it form a beatup thing that hardly ran and blew smoke everywhere to what it is now a beautiful rare and fast pure sports car. Thankyou to everyone for your imput.
