There was an article about a guy in the first issue of RX tuner that pulled a 10 second time slip with the stock twins. I suggest everyone pick it up to read about it =D.

Yes it ran 10.98 on stock non-seq twins, pump gas(94) and ET streets(of course) on a ported motor.

Also 11.08 @ 124mph on Nitto drag radials...

Heading back to the track for 10's on Nittos very soon....

Videos could be found @ www.vwsport.com under movies, under Mazda under JD folder

One thing i want to know is, how haven't you broken any drivetrain parts, diff, tranny, ppf, etc. I believe you said you have 400whp.

his mods, if I remember correctly.
FMiC
PFC(tuned well from what i heard)
injectors
full Exhaust
1.4bar(maybe?)
fuel pump
couple other little things as well, but I dont think he has anything to crazy except the normal mods that are needed and a very good launch...and o ya one more thing, hes got NASSSSjk

one question I do have for you boost7, are you going to try to get another 10sec time? Or are you calling it quites?

Kevin T, I remember reading about your really good times too. I thought they were at the really low 11s and on slightly ported twins, which still is pretty much stock. Did you actually hit the tens back then?

Boost has been in the 17-18 psi dropping to 16psi by 6.5krpm......after the street-port I haven't been able to maintain dialed boost across the rpm. After 14psi there's always a drop at higher rpm.

I did dyno the car back in Oct '03 but with boost dropping and a small leak at the Y-pipe I could not get nothing more then 15-16psi by 7krpm even if I hit 19psi earlier.
I did menage 36x rwh @ 14-15psi SAE corrected and 389rwh SAE @ 16psi w/ 345 rwt.
25 pulls in total in one hour !!!!!! even burned by rear bumber lip from the hot exhaust tip.

On the street the engine seems to load up more then it did on the dyno.......not sure why.

THANKS

What size ET streets were you running? I am thinking about getting a set for my stock wheels.
