Whoa!!...hold the brakes...?

bad title...I know.

anyways, my 4w ABS light came on when I installed my tokiko 5-way adjustables...does the fd have a pad wear sensor and the shock install was just a coinsidence? or what sets off the abs light?

Thanks,
Sean

There is not a pad wear sensor .Check the abs wheel sensor wires, sensor to trigger wheel clearance , all connections .

Same thing happened to me when I did my suspension. You probably pulled one of the ABS sensor wires that are on the back of the hub. I bet your front brakes will lock up right now if you try them.

You can probably get them used for $40-50 here or you can get new for about $100-130 from Malloy. Now all you have to do is figure out which one you screwed up....

Just to make sure it is not a coincedence check the ABS unit to make sure it's not leaking. They do leak after time due to heat cycling and rubber seals in them. Normally brake fluid will puddle under the unit and run down the wheel well plastic cover.
