A) coolant hose failure leading to loss of coolant and engine near-overheat.
B) completely lost power on the street, like the battery just disconnected for no reason. After some sweating, it came back spontaneously.
C) a big buck with antlers blindsided the left fender, it crashed into the hood, windshield, and over the roof before limping off. Cue hysterical screaming from Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle.
D) all of the above.

Well, if the game was "Guess What Happened To My RX-7 This Past Summer," then it would be D.....but since the game is the "Today" version.....yes, you guessed it.....C!!!!

And to think that I almost got in 3 months of worry-free RX driving too......the most random and unbelievable of all occurrences! Wow. (It's actually a problem here with all the construction going on though, according to the police officer on the scene. Poor deer have nowhere to go and getting stir crazy.)

Maybe I can get a whole body paint job out of this.....

any pics of the whole car? from the pictures the damage doesnt look to bad at all. would have thought a deer would ruin a fd if ever hit.

Yes, those pesky bastards will get ya. Doesn't seem too bad. Sorry for your troubles though. At least you didn't hit him full force. I've seen deer total sports cars.
