I accidentally found an amazing way to preserve the body paint of a car during storage. I have a Datsun 280z with Rb26dett engine - I buffed the car before storing it. I stored the car for over 3 years without moving it in the barn. I wrapped the car using a 30" pallet wrap (saran wrap per say - shipping wrap) - 3 years after, amazing that not a single micro dust and the paint remained the same when I last buffed it. http://imageshack.us/a/img91/8721/zzzpurple001.jpg
