$2800 from Malloy, mine had all new bearings, rotors, and housings. But then again, if you don't have much money, why are you worrying about a $3000 engine???

Site is being updated, web guy is dragging ***, and it's out of my hands. REW prices start at $1000 with your core up front, shortblock only, no gasket kit. The average blown apex seal motor needs another $500 in parts to make it whole again.

AMRAAM4 if you had all new bearings, housings and rotors you would be paying for it! ray swells those for 6+k. when parts are in spec they are reused or milled to be within spec.

as for the best price it would have to be kevin he mass produces these things

hate to tell you, but your wrong 2 people on this board can vouche

I was going to rebuild with new pieces, but Ray told my "guys" not to bother, it'll be cheaper to get one of the remans he had because the most recent batch are coming with new items. Ray @ Malloy is probably one of maybe 3-4 people in the entire FD community I trust.

Yes, Ray "had" a batch of new engines (supposedly) that went for about $4k. To my knowledge they don't have any more. Mazdatrix has a price listed of about $7k for a motor with all brand new spankin' parts:

All remans come with new bearings (rotor and stat gear), new seals and springs (apex/corner/side) , and new water pump and flywheel. They almost always come with new rotor housings, and occasionally come with new rotors. Typically the e-shaft will be used but within spec, as will the three iron housings. I have seen a reman that was 100% brand new, all the hard parts. I couldnt believe it, that was the deal of the century. This was back in 2004.

werd. It's funny how my comment of "new bearings, rotors, and housings" gets taken as me saying "I got a motor with brand new everything, for the price of a reman"
