Who paints 93 taillights into 99 spec?

I know there are several guys on here that have done this; taken taillights from a 93 FD, & painted/modified them so that they look like 99 spec lights. I'm going to be sending the 7 for a full body paint job, & that would be a perfect time to get my lights modified to be psuedo-99-spec. So who out there does it? How much do you charge? & recommendations from others who have had someone else paint their lights would be appreciated too.

Did you try to use the "search" button??? This has been discussed millions of time....

Just do the tailights yourself. All you need is a heat gun, strong adhesive glue, and the circles....Thats how I did mine.

Don't even need the heat gun or the adhesive. As weird as it sounds, I used the oven in my house to open the tail lights up and then reseal them after I was done painting the lenses.

I think it was like 300 for 10 minutes. I would have to check though. It has been about 3 or 4 years since I did it. I basically baked the tail lights in the oven, took them out, and pulled them apart. Came apart easy.

Then after I was done painting, I put them back together and put them in the oven again and baked them. The adhesive resealed itself.

Worked great!

Someone did a great write up on the process a while ago with pics and everything. That is what I used. If I can find the write up, I will post it.

Those look great.

Seven lust is doing mine right now for me, I can't wait to see how they come out. I'll post pics of mine when he gets them back to me next week.
