Talking Who Has The Lowest Charge Temps?

Alaska doesn't count, ha

with these cold nights in NC I'm seeing 7 degrees C on the PFC cruising down the highway with the pop-ups up (I removed the plastic liners to allow more air into the engine bay)

needless to say, the car loves it

Holy ****. You guys must have some serious cold weather where your at. Here in washington the lowest I have seen in the past few weeks was about 15c or so. But compared to the average in the summer of about 35c thats a whole lot more power. Can anybody say 3rd gear burnouts from a roll? Ha, good times.

Ive got the ASP large smic, what kind of IC's are you guys running? Front mounts? Where are your air intake sensors located? Stock position? or closer to the IC?

lol Kai, your car looks like it is saying 'OMG!' -- sounds like some nice temps out there.

My FD is still down (cursed) but I took my neighbor's Cobra out for a jaunt around the neighborhood last night and it loves the cold air. When he dyno'd it the charge temps were in the 50-55c range but it still put down 540rwhp. Very fun car, it is my drive to get my FD going again.

when i started it yesterday morning, pfc said temps were 3 deg. C! I believe it got up to 7C after driving around. This is on a stock intercooler, stock ait sensor and 99spec bumper opening.

oh **** yeah... i remember this summer that thing would get pretty hot. and when i bought it, the po had taken the (i guess crossover) piece off that ran over the stock ic and intake box, and never plugged the hole in the ic ducting! As well as I can recall, after I sealed it up with a piece of metal I notice maybe a 2 degree difference under similar conditions.

Nothing like starting it up in the morning and seeing negative numbers.

You guys don't have low numbers until you see negative on the PFC. Driving from the Hotel to Road America a few weeks ago, I had -2 for a while, with an eventual warmup to 0.

When you start a car after sitting, the sensor will more or less reflect the ambient temperature, so 4C would not be unexpected if it is that cold where you live. (And what's with the LOLs? This isn't IM.)

Any car that sits over night in a cold garage, and comes out into a warm environment, will have negative temps for a short time.

It was like 55 degrees on the coast when I was driving, but at cruise, my temps never dropped below 35 degrees...I'll have to see how that changes when I switch from the PFS IC to a larger stock mount, and also go single turbo with a jet-hot coated downpipe...

Guys who are getting ambient air tems as your air intake temps, let us all know what kind of setups you're running!

no IC is 100% efficient of course...the real test is under sustained boost (track conditions)

My FD PFC Read about 38C-75C While driving it goes up and down pretty bad but I think Ive got a bad sensor some where. Also when it goes below 50CIt starts to sputter and buck a little under a load WTF is up

So your temp stays at 7 degrees C when you're driving? I live in NC too but my air temp usually increases from 7 degrees C (at start up) to about 15-22 degrees C. I am running a Greddy 3 row FMIC.

Uh, get a clue. If your car is bucking and **** something is obviously wrong. Get a new sensor, theyre not that expensive. This could cause some pretty bad engine damage...
