Who Has the Greddy Hard Intercooler Pipes?
Who has the Greddy Hard Intercooler Pipes w/the hard Greddy elbow? If you've installed them on your FD, did you notice any performance differences, either plus of minus?
Also, what did you do about the hose that was connected to the stock elbow? If I understand correctly, it's supposed to be part of the cold-start circut. Did you merely cap it off? or leave it vented to the atmosphere?
I'm running stock turbos, D/P and HKS cat-back w/PFS ECU and my fuel ratio, at WOT, are approximately 10.8:1.
Either post here or PM me.
Thanks,
Rich

Rich,
I had them on my FD, and I don't think I got any "performance" gains from them, but they look great, and I've heard that the stock intercooler pipes can split and cause boost leaks. I'd call it a reliability mod more than a performance mod.
The AWS hose that connects to the stock elbow should be capped off once you install the Greddy elbow.

Me gots them too. No noticable performance gain, but they provide plenty insurance knowing they won't split or crack (and lose precious boost) like the stock plastic pipes/couplers. I left the AWS hose disconnected and just left it sitting right behind the GReddy compression tube. No oil mist mess yet.

I have the hard pipes also. Same answer as others- looks and reliability- had two flexible stock hoses split. The aws hose on mine needed to be connected. For some reason, the car idled very poorly with it either capped or left loose. I tapped a threaded hole in the elbow and put a short pipe nipple in place and re-connected the hose. Works fine now.
