who has a good koyo install thread

i searched everywhere and all i see is installs for the mazda comp. i just bought a koyo radiator as i was pursuaded by mike at the store. i was going to go with the fluidyne, but i now am going with the koyo. i have yet to do anything to the car minus fixing a small oil leak. im kinda stressing on doing this as this will be my first install along with a boost gauge. i need to know how to do this since i know that the koyo is not a direct drop in. can anyone that has done the install aid me in the installation of the koyo. im sure that others will need to know also and maybe we can make this a sticky post or something. please post step by step, or a website that you know of that is soley for the koyo install. i want to do this only once and the right way. thanks all for your help.

Koyo & SR Radiator Install How-To

Here's the link to the radiator install how-to that I used as a reference when I installed my Koyo. This link talks about the SR radiator which I am sure is actually a Koyo.

http://www.rx7guru.com/radiatorhowto.html

Look, from my experience, all of the talk about the fitment problems with the Koyo is overblown and probably scares some people away from the Koyo. However, with that said, I did find the need to do a number of "trial" fittings and removal of the radiator to identify areas of interference and perform some basic bending and grinding to eliminate the interference. The link above does not discuss any fitment issues.

Just go into this with your eyes open. Get the front of the car up on jack stands so you can inspect for interference from both above and below. Allow for the additional time required for the "trial" fittings. Have the required tools handy for some minor bending and grinding. I'm satisfied with the Koyo and it is still my radiator of choice.
