I think you mean LA Motorcars. I bought my car from Lance a year and a half ago. I stay in touch with him and he is always helpful. I have since met at least three other people who bought from him and all of them were as pleased as I.

Give Lance a call 972-235-3900

doh... you're right - fot some reason I always want to type "motorsports" instead.

Thanks for the input. I've spoken to Lance over the phone a few times and he seemed like a good guy, but it's really helpful to get the real story on a used car salesman.

Also, do cars have front plates in Texas, and if so, does mounting it on an FD typically put holes in or otherwise damage the front bumper?

I met lance a few months ago, he was really cool, even though I bought nothing from him..The big perk I found was the warranties....anyway, good luck.

oh, by the way, I have a black FD, no front license plate, been that way since I got it, I have the 2nd in the trunk, some cops that come into my bar all the time said that if I dont want to drill holes, then if I ever get pulled over just tell the cop yo are waiting on a part from Japan since they dont make these cars anymore over here and that its an expensive bumper that you dont want to ruin with holes, and tell him you have the other license plate in the trunk, he'll let you slide almost every time...

OMG! NOOOO

**** LANCE and LA motorcars. He lied straight to me. He told me my 94 FD was a touring, it was a base... He said it went through complete diagnostics at RX7.com, it didnt, he said it was in immaculate condition, i have put over $2,500 into it after owing it for a month, He never sent in the warranty to the company so i had to do it on my own. THose guys are the worst dealership i have EVER come across and if i really felt like it, i would sue them sooooooooo hard! I dont care what anyone else says about them, they screwed me over so badly!

So what exactly was wrong with the car that cost $2,500? Was that work not covered under the warranty? What steps, if any, have you taken to correct the situation with Lance?

Thanks for you input.

Radiator,Full Exhaust replacement,Oil leak, The engine that was previously installed was done HORRIBLY and 2 hoses were missing causing me to idle at around 1300rpm, front headlight would not go down, and a blown speaker. All this plus labor was well over $2500 because it was not covered by warranty. The reason was because Lance never sent in the damn paperwork to the warranty company. I have repeatedly contacted Lance tell him what was wrong and he only had 2 solutions. 1) He would buy back the car for what i payed for it (too bad i had already put so much extra into it, so that would be a loss for me) and 2) He said he sent in the warranty... I know he didnt because i called the warranty company and they did not have me in their system untill i got the paperwork and faxed them myself.
