merc 93: $145 sounds like a good deal. I think the RB Dually costs around 400-450?. The only minus, if at all, is that the muffler has a 2.5" inlet pipe. Don't know what mods your FD may have, but once you replace your stock pre-cat with a DP, which is 3" diameter, you'll want to keep the entire exhaust at 3" ...all the way to the back-cat/muff. Less restriction= better flow=additional ponies.
I just ordered the S/S rolled-tips I needed for the Magnaflow. The Mag has a 3" inlet with dual 3" outlets. But the total cost for the Mag muff and 2 tips was 156.00.

I too am looking at getting the 3" RB Dual. I just picked up an HKS 3" downpipe, but I also need a midpipe. Any suggestions on a midpipe, and will I need a shortpipe to connect to the midpipe and the catback?
I think dual exhausts look best on the FD. I saw an FD with the 5" exhaust the other day and it looked like you could fit a family inside of it.

estguz: You may want to check the 3rd. Gen. Clasiffieds for MP's. You can usually find a S/S MP for about $80-$100. The short pipe you refer to, can be fabricated and placed/welded on the Back-Cat at the Muff shop.

It has a single 2.5" input and dual 3" outputs, and supposedly fits my FD just fine??? Oh yeah, and it costs $145 shipped.
Should I get this sucker or bite the bullet and get the RB for $400 more?

I guess S/S is the only way to go?? Will the heat generated by our FD exhaust, eventually cause discoloration or "metal burn marks" on a S/S muff?

By installing "tips" over the actual pipe you are leaving an air gap which will keep them much cooler and less prone to discoloration. That's why I went for the Honda OEM tips - I figured they would be very high quality plating and so far (2 years) they are still bright.
You might want to try www.GibsonPerformance.com
I think they sell larger good quality tips.

RonKMiller: I'm expecting my tips to be delivered on 9/17. They are S/S rolled-tip, 3.5" outlet by 3"I.D. inlet, but they're 12" long so they'll have to be cut in half (?). They should slide over the 3" outlets the Magnaflow has and will probably be welded on.
estguz: I won't be able to do the install myself as it requires welding of the flange/pipe which mates with the MP flange, onto the Magnaflow S/S back-cat.

That's a 5" outlet/tip on the HKS. The Magnaflow I'm installing next week will have dual 3" outlets with dual 3.5" tips attached.

I thought I'd post a few photos of my Magaflow S/S cat-back. It's still in the plastic cover. The S/S rolled tips should be delivered today. If so, I'll do the install tomorrow.
SWEET! You should be getting it today!!! Let me know how it is! I left town for a week and I haven't had anytime to check the forums let alone get my car done.
I met the guy who I was going to have put the muffler on and I a not sure about him. I just get an uneasy feeling, like after he starts working on it he will suddenly need all these expensive parts
So I am going to go back to Corksport to do it if they can.
aerX, Where did you get the tips? He wasn't sure where I could get some that didn't taper off at the muffler.
Good luck!

The tips were ordered through the same company I bought the Cat-Back from: www.BigExhaust.com. They are made by MagnaFlow and are 3" x 3.5 x 12 inches long, so they'll have to be cut so they don't stick out too much. They are rolled tipped, highly polished S/S and are pretty heavy. The cost was 26.00 each.

HOLY ****'AKI MUSHROOMS. Just got back from installing the MagnaFlow. The lower frequency sound it produces is incredible compared to the HKS it replaced.
BUT........dissapointed that the DB levels didn't really lower. In fact, at WOT the MagnaFlow is actually MUCH louder. Now to performance: I am now boosting 15-16 at WOT. My Fd never boosted above 12, and that was a spike at secondary turbo transition (4500 rpm). I guess the HKS was clogged or maybe the 3" dual exhaust really allows the engine much less restriction than the HKS???
I was lucky to see the boost gauge when I let her go WOT and caught it boosting 15, so I let off the throttle and maintained the boost at 10. So much more pull/HP now. Time to get a Profec B.. I'll post a few photos of the dual 3.5s a little later. Thanks
