Question White Smoke on Cold Start

When we have a cold start, there is a fair amount of white smoke from the exhaust. Once the engine has dropped to normal rpm for ide, it goes away.

Is this indicative of any problems?

Thanks,

You're talking about condensation. Its normal.

Now if its THICK white smoke, then that might be a different story.

if it smells like gas and oil.... youre good..... its just condesation.... being that its the time of year that it gets cooler in the mornings.

if it smells sickly-sweet..... then you need to diagnose it quick

Most likely condensation as I live in Florida too, like you, and it recently gotten more "chilly/cold" (..haha, FL...cold? haha) so you probably just noticed it at the start of the season change.

But yes, i agree w/ the two posters above if it's not condensation.
