Andy: Since you're in SF, the closest to you and IMO the best you'll find locally is Rick's Rotary Performance (http://www.ricksrotary.com/) in Pleasanton. A lot of the NorCal guys (me, sicminded, rynberg, ZeroBanger, SkyWarpR, overkill, et al.) take their cars there for servicing and rebuilds.

you might wanna try to buy the rotaryaviation videos and see if you wanna do it yourself if your mechanically handy enough. it only cost about 100 bucks for all 3 videos or about 70 dollars for 2 (there is one about how to rebuild the engine and 2 about how to pull an engine out of a fd and fc, they all show every single bolt you have to take off and are very well made) so you might wanna think about giving this a try. im pretty sure you gotta pull the engine for some of those places above anyways for them to rebuild your engine unless you wanna pay someone to do it for you.

personnaly i would look towards pineapple if your gonna pay someone to do it

I had mine built at Pineapple, pay for the reliability mod...he gives you a 5 year warranty. That's 2 years more than Mazda would give you on a new engine. From what I know...which isn't much. LOL

Well, if you were in the Mid West area I would say www.GothamRacinig.com ....Steve Kan is the shizzy at porting / building / tuning. can't go wrong.
