getting bolt through steering column

just got an autometer water temp gauge and cant get the bolt connected from the prob through the rubber peice around the steering column? anyone else have a problem with this? i would rather not go through the firewall and drill my own hole. thanks for anyhelp

Best thing to do is to dremel out a hole big enough to run all your gauge sensors through. I had to do this as I run EGT, Oil Temp, Water Temp, and Boost...Made a hole for all 4...Just make sure after you drill a hole that the edges of the metal are smothed out so it doesn't chafe the boost line.
