where is this located

the switch to the vaccum booster. i was told that there is a switch that connects with the booster and if it goes bad the booster wont work. i dont want to spend 450 for a new boster. so i thought i would try the switch.

No switch, but there is a check valve in the rubber line between the booster and manifold.

If you're talking about the big black brake booster, they VERY rarely go bad. If yours is truly bad, get a used one - they're a dime a dozen.

Might want to let us know what problem you're trying to solve - you could be misdiagnosing something.

Yeah.....'switch'? Dave and Dale have the right of it. Post what is happening, why you think you are needing a "switch" for your brake booster unit.
