Im all tuned for fuel finally...tuning took a long time but was actually quite an easy task once fd racer and I had the right tools (datalogit and mapwatcher). am running a bit rich up top still for safety reasons...lean at vacuum of course...11's all the way across now in boost.
I had to get a better boost controller as the pfc sucks at controlling boost. picked up and installed a profec b a couple weeks ago. have to get a gm 3 bar map sensor (100.00 bucks or so) so i can up the boost to the levels i want to run on the high end. the stock map sensor is only good for 16.3 lbs.
two solonoids went bad...was having some turbo control issues because of it...became frusterated with seq headaches and decided to try out NON SEQ.... will get to that impression in a bit.
attempted to tune for 16lbs on non seq....was still running stock cat...could not run more than 15 at any point. ordering hi flow cat...gutted stock old cat til then and sure enuff it restricts boost on the m2s to 15 lbs (it was completely clean) there was no way at all to push more air thru than that. I wonder what max boost is on stock turbos thru the stock cat????? that would give you an idea of flow difference at the psi that the m2s were running vs stock.
anyhow...gutted the cat...upped the boost to a flat 16lbs...spun thru first on good tires (yokohama autox tires)...hit second...car sideways...counterstear...smokin tires...WOO HOO!! I literally couldnt keep the tires stuck to the ground at boost. turned boost back down to 14.5 lbs. car is now loud as **** with that n1 dual and the gutted cat.
I do not like non seq at all (most basic poormans)....while its fun when there is no one on the road...i miss the immediate response of the m2 set when im driving around in the city.
at this point i have to do the map sensor install...put on the hiflow cat...and diagnose a couple boost issues in order to go back to non seq. As soon as these things are done I will be going for my dyno runs.
m2 was not kidding when they said they are running most efficient at 16+ lbs....the difference between 14-16lbs was the difference between controlling the car on stock rims and good tires and NOT.
didnt want to do it...but have added rims and tires to the list.

artguy - good to hear those suckers really kicked in @ 16psi. I was getting the feeling from your recent posts that the M2's were good, but not screaming like you had hoped...good to hear they are gonna scream for you up top with the unrestricted flow!!!
BTW: An update on my upgraded twins project. I went single instead - GT35/40. Dyno this weekend on my stock motor.

I'm looking realy hard at the stage 2 BNRs too. I'm gonna have to smog in a year or so. I don't realy want to deal with having to throw back on the twins, air box, ic etc, If i where to go single. I think I can get away with the m2 intake, and IC, if i powder coat the top of bolth black. And maybe throw a mazda emblem on it or something. But the single on the other hand, has a cleaner look, more hp potential, etc....ahhh, my never ending mental battle. Single vs. upgraded Twins.
What would convince me to go with some upgraded twins is a dyno plot of somone under 15psi (Or the effecience range of the turbos) making 400rwhp. Making max boost around 4k or so. If anyone could be so kind to post some, that would be great!
Running non-seq, I'm getting max boost around 3,700-8 or so. I don't mind some more lag, but not to much.

sold the FD...kept the FB
Being one of the few with the now discontinued Turbonetics upgraded twins, I'm happy to say that they've been runing strong for the last year. I've been limited to 7-8 psi since I still run stock injectors which puts me at about 11.5:1 at 80-83% duty cycle towards redline. The car pulls hard as a mother for that little psi, so I've been happy. artguy and I plan to go to the dyno in the near future. It should be fun to see what we'll do.

I'm close to finished with my progress - just dropped my car off at KDR today - going back to sequential and taking a closer look at what may be a cracked wastegate. I'm really excited to see what these BNR Super Turbos put down. I can't boost past 10 psi right now even with the wastegate completely closed so we think it's probably a cracked wastegate leaking it all out. I might get a Profec B also to control boost at 15 psi. I want to be the first to post a dyno of these monsters - should know more in a few weeks - will keep everyone posted.

BNRs secret sauce is actually a concept he came up with to spool the turbos even faster and cause less stress on the shafts so you can run even more boost with the larger compressor wheels = insane and quick spooling hp = film in a few weeks
Jason, so how do you like you're homemade midpipe - it doesn't get any louder than a streetport, non-sequential, and full exhaust. I had a midpipe for a week and it was loud!!!!! But you also gain about 35 rwhp with a mp - that's probably why you can't control your car. A hi-flo cat is a happy medium - you get about 10-15 rwhp with that and more low and mid-range response. Glad to see you're finally tuned - hopefully I can beat you to a dyno

I got the turbo.
Fedex messed up the precontrol.
And when I install the turbo, I forgot to put the oil drain. So now having to take out the turbo again.
Plus on top of this, while sitting on the john, I realized I messed up my vacuum job.
Car still on jackstand, will update soon.
Taking 2 days off to install this weekend...

Kevin, yet another long time big list contributor makes the leap to the forum. Glad to see ya again.
I saw a similar setup just recently in the lastest RX-7 magazine from japan, where the hot side of the IC has 2 inlets from each turbo. So you beat them to it. My main question is about the turbo themselves, since I haven't been on the big list on 2 years I don't know how you are going to run them. Sequentially or non?

Pettit turbos
I will be going to the dyno next week. Pettit turbos are new stock units, which have been blueprinted, polished, radiused on internal flow passages and ceramic coated. The seat of pants impression is that they spool faster. Dyno will confirm if this is actually fact or just wishfull thinking, after spending $4K to put "stock" units back on the car. They supply 15 psi with no trouble.
