Where do I wire in power for these glow gauges?
Alright I have a + and - cable in which I need to wire into the wiring harness for the gauge cluster, I do not have a voltmeter on hand, so I can't test the lines.
I am assuming it would wire into the + and - volt leads that plug into the gauge which get a connection from the **** which turns on the lights....
If anyone can be more specific on which one I tap it into, or where I should get power from, please let me know.
Thanks,
-Darren-
Also note these are the tach/speedo/fuel/oil/coolant gauges, not extra gauges. So they are in the actual cluster.

Avoid Fuego Racing
Sorry, I don't know, BUT, canm you tell me how hard was it to install the faces? How hard to take off the gauge cluster and so forth? How long would you say the entire job would take, and have you broken anything? I am really interested in this, since you can get them on ebay for like 30 bucks.

do a search for "glow gauges" and "dhahlen" as the thread starter. There are step by step instructions.
It takes about 5-10 mins to get the cluster out, and then about another 10-15 mins to get the gauges on and situated, do not remove the originals, just place the gauges over the other ones, slide them AROUND the needle.
Then just wire in power, which I need to do, and then screw everything back in.
Say it would take about 45 mins or so to do.

Anyone have any idea on this power wire in?

This is probably the ghetto way, but you could probably tap into the fuse block...well...no, that won't work. Then again, I don't know if the fuse is after the switch or before it. If it's after, you can tap into it, otherwise...(see below).
There are wiring diagrams flating around. If I can find a link to the schematic that you need, I'll post it.

I used the power from the ashtray light that I pulled to light my other gauges. That way they will dim with the rest of your gauges if you use the + and - from the ashtray light.
With that said, I wouldn't do it that way. There is a spot in the fuse block by the driver's left foot that is empty and has 12V power when the parking or driving lights are turned on. I would use that and then ground the gauges to the body. They will glow much brighter than if you use the ground from the ashtray light. Most of the glow gauge faces have a control for dimming anyway if you need it. I will post some pics in the next couple days of my interior. I just finished the tan to black conversion, refinishing the interior plastic, new stereo head unit, glow gauge faces. Let me know if you have any questions or need some pics. I should be getting a digicam today after work.

I figured out where to wire in power, i used the ground on the back of the gauge panel, and positive from the wire which gets signal from the light switch. Problem now... i pulled out the spedo needle (like a ******* dumbass) and now it wont work right, and I know this **** is mad expensive to replace, and when i power the gauges, i dont get a reading on the mileadge, i think i really fucked it up. Anyone fix these or do I have to replace the whole pod?

Did you pull the needle only, or the needle and the pin it fits on? I pulled the needle and the pin that goes into the speedo and screwed mine up. Now it reacts really slowly to changes in mph. I called a tach and speedo shop about fixing it and they said the pin is dragging on the magnets inside the speedo and there is no way to fix it. I am buying a new (to me) gauge cluster next week because I am getting tired of trying to figure out what 119 kph is in mph.
