For it to be effective, you need to mount it as high as possible (without interfering with your hood).

What is you current setup? Do you have a pic of your engine bay? That would help us suggest places to put it.

As long as the AST is higher than the radiator it will do its job.

I put it in the stock location. Isn't this easiest if you have a mostly stock engine bay

I just swap mine out. Used the same mounting screws, etc. What a rip-off on the AST. Wish I knew how to weld.... Good luck.

Here's pics of mine (currently). Borrowed the idea from another forum member.

Very solid mounting, didn't move for over 1-1/2 years of track events....

This was taken back when I still had the twins on. Although with the new single the ast didn't move.

In the trash...haha!

Rynberg - I can send you a bracket to mount it on the hot pipe bracket (also get it away from the IC fins)...you aren't as **** about engine bays as I am, that tee bolt clamp would annoy the hell out of me. PM me...I think I can dig up some pics of it

here is a pic of my engine bay. the ast isnt attached to anything its just sitting on a bracket used for the air stock air box. the peg at the bottom of the ast is in a hole at the top of the bracket. I was thinking about threading the dowl on the bottom and bolting it where it sits but i wasnt sure if it was high enough.

I first mounted mine to the PFS intercooler bracket, but it annoyed me being there. Then I removed the air pump and fabbed a simple bracket for it in that position. I made it so I could move it verically until it was as high as possible (so it holds the bubble that is in the cooling system).

My mechanic twisted an old metal strip that he had lying around and connected it to the frame around the passenger headlight. Works perfectly.
